Past Chemist Licensure Exams are normally scheduled once every September. However last October 2013, PRC issued a new schedule. The usual September exam was moved to May 14-15, 2014.
This January 2014, a new announcement returns the exam date to September 16-17, 2014. With the deadline of application being moved to August 27, 2014.
According to the PRC Board of Chemistry, "the move to reschedule the date of exam is based on the clamor of the academe and members of the Integrated Chemists of the Philippines to retain the old schedule which is on September of every year on account of the limited time to afford prospective examinees to secure the examination requirements and to prepare for the examination itself."
Several of those who are already preparing for the supposedly May 2014 exam were disappointed with the reschedule. Others were happy with the reschedule.
